We Share The Same Spirit, Moms

3 thought(s) to share
Have you ever watched the Tribal Wives program on BBC Network before? I love this program so much. You know it’s always fun to find out about how moms in different side of this world handle their domestic stuff every day. If you moms haven’t got a chance to watch it, well you may want to spare your time to watch it sometimes. The main topic is about how modern women (mostly Caucasian moms) spend time among a tribal family in a remote area and learn how to be like them in daily activities.
These modern kind of moms who usually spoiled by the simplicity of modern equipments and electricity, must deal with poverty and different point of view about gender equality. Some of them were shocked to find out there’s a different situation out there that they can barely imagine before. Women in tribal families must work harder everyday and must able to take care of everybody in her house. They deal with housework in a different way than us. They plant their own vegetables, raise their own goats or pigs for dairy products and they cook for everyday meals. At the same time, these great moms must able to watch and take care of their kids (most of them have more then four kids) as well.
If we still have some places to go to refresh our mind after long weekdays, they almost have no place to visit. They live in a remote area and without electricity. No fancy stoves, you must learn to use woods, no comfy bathroom with a big bath tub inside to relax your body, no spa/massage, no mal to shopping around, no café where you can meet some friends and share. Nothing.
You will always find something valuable at the end of the show; something about how to get better and better in your life. These tribal wives love their life and refuse to change it in any way. Though we possibly think that they’re in a relatively sad situation, but they consider themselves to be happy even without fancy stuff and modern equipments. They’re still happy wives. We completely realize that we live in different circumstances, but deep inside, we share the same spirit and love. The moms’ spirit and love. Happy Weekend, moms…

Just What I Need

11 thought(s) to share
1. Who was the last person who entered your life and was just what you needed?
My little daughter. Well, she actually came a bit faster than we're expected. We had a plan for a romantic honeymoon after our wedding ceremony and we already found just a perfect remote island. Guess what? Precisely in the next month, I didn't get my period and found out that I was pregnant. Then all I can say is: "Good bye, romantic island and good bye romantic honeymoon" LoL
So tell me, was that really what we needed? LoLoLoL

2. What is one of your fondest childhood memories?
We're not a rich family, so we couldn't afford much on vacation. There were time when my dad suddenly brought us to a a lake for vacation. We didn't stay over night, but it was a truly happy moment for us. We went back home with a smile and we didn't even dare enough to think that we'll ever have that wonderful moment again. Now when I'm remembering this, I feel a bit sad. Because right now, we can go on vacation every time we want. And that's what I call as God's grace.

3. What would you like to be doing in 7 years?
I want to be just like what I am right now. I want to be a wife to a wonderful man just right now. I want to have all my children around me just right now. I hope everything will be just the same :)

4. Tell us about a blogging pet peeve.
I truly hate ALEXA rank! LoL It's killing me every time I saw a bigger number each day. What's wrong with that stupid widget anyway? I want it to be smaller and smaller everyday, but somehow it refuse to do so. Sometimes I just want to get rid of that widget, but somehow I just can't do it. I love how my blog looks like now. I don't want to change anything (giggling)

5. Tell us about a general pet peeve.
Person who cast in lot with other people's business. Come on, don't you have something to deal with yourself? Don't answer if nobody asked you. Don't come in if nobody asked you to. Just stand outside the line until you're asked to cross it. The bottom line is: mind your own business!

6. For one day, who would you like to trade places with?
Wow, this is a huge question for me because I love my place right now LoL. But, if I've given a chance, I'd like to trade places with a woman who lives in Arctic. I want to know the challenges she must deal with everyday to defeat the extremely cold environment. How she manages her house (or igloo?) for her family member. What she cooks for meals, and so on. But just for one day.

7. Where is your least favorite place to be?
Beach. In a hot and shiny day! It could make my skin darker and burnt which I really hate

8. What do you like about fall?
We don't have fall here. I'm jealous to all of you who got a chance to be in fall season each year. Here we only have two seasons and fall is not one of them.

9. If you or someone you know are chronically late, do you believe it's the result of poor planning or choosing to be late?
If we're talking about chronically stuff here, then "choosing to be late" will be the right reason of it. You're getting used to it and kinda enjoy it. There's why you will late over and over again. Don't blame it to the poor of planning. Because if you can't plan anything on time and got late most of the time, then you're really a stupid person!

From Phisically Painful To Comfy Pajamas

3 thought(s) to share
1. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?
My maternity experience will be the most painful thing have ever happened to me. I wanted to give birth in the normal way and had been in painful time of contraction for 6 hours until finally I ended up in surgery room for C section in almost unconscious condition with a very low blood pressure. Turns out that there's something wrong with my my baby's position inside the womb which made her unable to get out properly. The only way to get her out is by C section. I wonder, if only I knew that there's no way for me to deliver my baby but C section, why should I feel the 6 hours of painful contraction then? And I blame this to my OB that time. And he asked for apologize. He told me that he should have known the situation before and ask me to to the C section instead. His careless thought had almost kill me and my baby. Thank God, every thing's fine at the end of the story. But, I could never forget that horrific experience ever.

2. How much sleep do you get at night?
I'm the queen of sleep LoL so, I can sleep well from 8PM to 8AM every day plus extra nap in the afternoon every time I want to. I don't have any difficulties to sleep after laying down on bed and close my eyes. My only problem is I can only sleep in laying position in . What's the big deal? Trust me, I have friends who able to sleep in sitting position or standing position for at least half and hour! But for me, no matter how sleepy I am, if I can't find some place to lay my back down, then I could never close my eyes and sleep whatsoever. Well, this is totally an endless talking, so I'm going to stop right now cause you made me thinking of taking a nap right now on 10.50AM LoL

3. How long did you believe in Santa Claus? How did you find out that he does not exist?
I never believe in Santa Clause! Hey, we live in Indonesia! We don't have red fat man who loves to throw gift through fire place. We don't even have a fire place here since we don't have winter. So, we learned that Santa is a noble man from west countries who loves children. He appears only during Christmas and disappear after the festive. Then he might choose to take a rest for the next eleven months to prepare all the gifts for the next Christmas. The most strange part is that we never get any of his gifts ever! Later I found out that its because gift-giving is not the way we celebrate Christmas here in Indonesia. Christmas here is about having services in church or attending any Christmas services held by personal or groups outside the church. It also means becoming part of the services itself. Other than that, we celebrate Christmas after services by lighting candles in our front yard and decorate the synthetic Christmas tree with Christmas decoration and gather to have a pray with every family members in Christmas Eve. So, Santa Claus is just a tiny spot in our Christmas celebration here :)

4. What was the last movie you saw in a theater?
The Expendables. Most of my friends mock this movie and that's fine for me. I love to see Jason Statham in there. Muscular handsome man!

5. What do you wear to bed?
A nice and comfy pajamas. What? I don't wear lingerie, if you want to know. I don't understand why women willing to pay more money to buy expensive lingeries just to wear it under their blanket every night. Well, that's me LoL. I prefer pajamas.

What We have Accomplished In Our Marriage

7 thought(s) to share
We have been married for four years now and if compared to those couples who’ve been married for more that ten years, I consider our marriage to be a toddler LoL.
Maybe, you won’t find anything interesting in our marriage due to the “young age” but I’ll be happy to share it with you all.
Some say that marriage brings its own fortune for the couples. And I believe that our marriage has made our life (both of us) better and better every time. I met my husband six years ago and he already financially established at that time. Well, at least established enough to have a wife and two children. Right after we married, he moved into a different firm with a better income. After we have our first daughter, he moved again into another better firm with another better income. By the time our daughter celebrated her 3rd birthday, my loving hubby has already been in his newest firm with way better income until now.
We never thought to buy a new house (not yet) in the first year of our marriage. We still focused on saving our money to prepare everything for our kids. But in the 3rd years, somehow it changed. God bless us abundantly so that we able to expand our expectation in a relatively short time. Although we are not as rich as those we saw on TV, but we can pay all the bills, savings for different purposes, insurances, buy our own new house, and we can still have plenty left to use for vacation.
I don’t want a fancy life which can change our life now in a bad way. I have what I need right now and enjoy the reality that I still can spend quality time with my soul mate. So, what we have right now is a dream come true for us. But, now our expectation is getting higher and we have new dreams which need to be manifested LoL
I’m happy with my life and pray to God that He will always bless us abundantly. Amen!

Skin Care Products And Pregnancy

1 thought(s) to share
Theoretically, pregnant women are still allowed to use skin care in order to look beautiful. But you must realize that you have a huge difference between any ordinary women. You need to pay more attention to little human who grows inside you. Since everything you use will also bring impact to your child inside your womb. I choose to stop using any skin care treatments after knowing that I’m pregnant four years ago. But it’s okay if you feel like you still want to do the skin care rituals but be careful of chemical ingredients on it which may harm your fetus.
Below are some of the chemical ingredients on your skin care products that use better avoid during pregnancy, mommies.
1. Retinoids
What: generally found in skin care products with anti-ageing or pimples cure on it. This can be written in several different names in package such as differin, retin-A, tretinoin or retinol.
Why: it could bring danger to your fetus such as incomplete step of growth, where baby can be born without certain body parts.

2. Salicylic acid
What: usually found in cleanser and toner products to reduce skin inflammation as well as exfoliation. It has similar effect with aspirin. You may recognize this as AHA or BHA
Why: high dosage of this can cause bleeding, kidney failure to your fetus. Or deaf-mute issue after the baby is born.

3. Sunscreen
What: usually contains titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, oxybenzone, dioxybenzone, etc.
Why: some women experience allergic reaction over these chemical ingredients. Any allergic reactions should be considered seriously during pregnancy.

Then, it’s all up to you, mommies. If you feel that none of your skin care products contains those three factors inside, they you feel free to continue your habit even if you’re pregnant. But, if you asked me, forget about skin care products and let the nature works for you. Pregnant women face usually looks glowing and beautiful anyway.

And I really want to say thank you to my beautiful blogger friends, Vida in The Happy Wife for giving me this beautiful award. You are so kind...xoxo

Have A Great Halloween Party!

0 thought(s) to share
Well well well.. Apparently this is day all children (or adults) have been waiting for this entire October. October 31 is the Halloween date. Have you ready with your costumes yet? I think it will be very fun when you visiting each house and yell “Trick or Treat” LoL. Bring the Jack O’ Lanterns and those creepy costumes out and go have fun with other children on the street. I found this cute Halloween costumes for children on various website. What do you think? Will you use one of these costumes today?
As for adults who also want to enjoy this Halloween party, I found some costumes in various websites too. I don’t think that adults are going to do “Trick or Treat” too tonight. It sounds boring, they said. I think adults will have their own particular Halloween parties which will sounds boring to children too. LoL
Anyway, whatever costumes you choose tonight, I’m sure that all of you will look different err beautiful or creepy. LoL
Enjoy your Halloween party there… (I will watch horror movie again tonight)
