Bedroom For Kids

It’s not so difficult for moms to arrange their kids’ bedroom without any helps from an interior designer or something like that, especially for toddlers. The keys are safe and comfortable. Not just nice looking, but the most important thing is, we must sure, that the bedrooms are really safe for them. Because toddlers are really active, but in the same time, their balance capability haven’t been completely ready. And not just because we’re really want to see their bedrooms look great and fancy, the kids themselves cant stand in that room.
Kids are very interest to strong colors such as red, blue, yellow and pink. So, we better use those colors for their bedrooms. Use it for wallpapers, sheets, blankets, pillows, or even curtains.

Do not put too many furniture in it. Because kids are always stumble all the time. We better use colorful plastic tables with curvy edge, so that the furniture can not hurt them accidentally. We better not use any kind of glass materials. For this material can break and hurt the kids.

For their bed, use a low one. Add an extra barrier to prevent them fall from the bed.

Watch out for any kind of electrical chords. Put the lamps in the safe area. Avoid wires. Things like that are usually interesting for kids. And they may touch this dangerous thing without notice the danger that may come

At last, hang a few colorful pictures in their bedroom walls. It can be animal pictures, flowers, or anything about their hobbies. If they like soccer, hang pictures of balls or ball from fur. If they love to paint, frame their own paintings and hang them in their walls. They will be very happy and proud of their work.

The death of King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, caused a commotion in world. This uproar has become more hectic than the death of Princess Diana a few years ago. Both Michael Jackson and Lady Di are really blessed with their own allures and successfully gained a special place in the world’s heart, although there’s a certain difference that comes between them.

Lady Di has been loved by this world, because of her charity activities. While Michael Jacksonhas been loved because of his everlasting songs. People remember him also with his moonwalk style, great dancing as well as his unique costumes.

Even when the press judged him as a pedofilia and even he had a mysterious life stories, Michael Jackson is always be the world’s subject of adoration. When most of Afro-American considered him as a betrayal, but a lot of white people adore him too with his fake white skin. His songs has vanished the gap between every races in this world. Michael Jackson has a big talent in music. His songs are always remember as well as his video clips.

One thing I remember from Michael Jackson’s songs is the humanitarian theme, such as Heal The World, Black or White, and We Are The World, etc. The song Heal The World itself has become an icon to many charity commercials.

Even here in Indonesia, several TV stations are also competing each other to publish Michael Jackson’s story of life; whereas he doesn’t even Indonesian. Not to mention every other country that has the same plan about this. So it seems like Jacko will be more famous when he’s dead than alive.

A friend of mine on Facebookwrote something about Michael Jackson death.
”Will our lives be precious enough to be remembered by other people when we’re gone?”

It’s just a simple question but need a lot of muse to answer. Have we done something useful for other people in this short life already? Have we given something that can make other people remember us back when we leave this world someday? It’s something that makes people mourning because of our death. Or in the other side maybe they just feel grateful for our death.

We can not expect this world to remember us like they remember Michael Jackson. But we are Michael Jackson for our closest people. We are Lady Di. We are Mother Theresa. We are Nelson Mandela. Maybe it’s not for the world; but for our family and friends. Let’s do something useful in our lives. And when the time has come for us to leave this world; they will remember us for that.

Elephant dies leaving its ebony, tiger dies leaving its skin, and human dies leaving his/her name. The choice is all ours. We determine ourselves whether will be remembered for our life time or just vanished without trace when we’re leaving this world.

Take a look at your bathroom right now

A bathroom indeed express the owner’s hygiene way of life. Imagine when somebody comes to our house and surprise to find the bathroom is very slippery (because the floor is mossy), the bath tub wall is look dirty (because it’s not regularly brushed) and it smells really bad. And the worst is when our guests accidentally meet the cockroaches running around freely Will you feel ashamed?
That is why we need to keep our bathroom as clean as possible.

According to the article I read, we need to clean our bathroom every day. But I think it’s a bit useless because our bathroom won’t be as dirty as the mall’s toilets. The bathroom is only used everyday by 3-5 people that live in the house. So I choose to clean the bathroom once a week is enough; as long as we do it in the right way and carefully. Our bathroom will look clean and smells good. I bet everyone must like a clean and nice bathroom just like in fancy hotels. Like one in this picture
If we can’t have a fancy bathroom, at least we can imitate the clean look of that hotel’s bathroom.

There are a few tips in that article. But I only choose three of them; the best three of them; and share them with you..

First, always clean up the floor and the bathroom’s wall.
Before this I always think that we need to add certain kind of chemical fluid when we brush the bathroom’s floor and wall; the chemical fluid like Porstex. It will make the floor and the wall look clean and make the bad smell disappear too. Well, finally I found out that chemical fluid like that can be dangerous for daily use. It’s not only dangerous for our healthiness but also dangerous for the bathroom itself.

In fact this chemical can ruin the surface of the floor and wall especially those who use ceramics for bathroom’s floor and wall. So if you find a spot just use the chemical right into the spot’s surface only. Than clean the surface thoroughly with water.
If you insist to use chemical fluid when cleaning your bathroom’s floor and wall, do it once in a month. Or maybe you can use different kind of chemical that won’t ruin your ceramics. You can use chlorine that mixed with water first.

The best way to clean them is just by using your brush. No needs to use a thicker brush, as long as you brushed every surface until the spot disappear.

Second, clean up the sanitary equipments.

toilette, or stuffs like that. Usually they made of marble or stone.

To clean a little spot, you can use a slice of lemon and swipe it in the spot surface only. And for a bigger spot, try to use a chemical mixed of borax (HCl) and lemon. Use this fluid along when you brush the spot. After that, you still need to clean up the chemical again by using detergent.

Third, clean up the fitting equipments.
Fitting equipments in our bathroom are including every equipments made of nickel or chrome. Such as

For this kind of equipments, avoid using chemical fluid for metal, because it can destroy the nickel or chrome surface. Just use a clean towel to wipe them.

For additional we can use bathroom’s perfume (like lemon favor). It can reduce the bad smell. When our bathroom clean and fresh, we don’t need to feel ashamed when other people use our bathroom. Even when we only have a small space, but it looks nice and clean. That’s all that matter, right?

Dark illegal flying immigrants

Do you recognize a tiny flat bug with disgusting brown colored and usually playing around on dirty places every night? It has six tiny feet and a pair of long tentacles that never stop moving. We’ll notice its present without even see one. How so? Because they smell terrible! Do you have a clue already? The answer is, cockroaches!

Ugh, it makes me nauseated. This dirty bugs are usually have a complete flying armies. So that they can just run away if they saw any signs of human attacks. And they really have a bad navigation tutorial because somehow they can fly and then landed on your hair. Hiiiii....

What a coincidence because yesterday I saw an article about these disgusting bugs. Complete with pictures and explanations about their characters. Officially, there are various kind of cockroach. And two kinds of them can be found in Indonesians houses. The two kinds are: american cockroach (Periplaneta americana) and germany cockroach (Blattela germanica). Its funny when you realized that those stinky ugly bugs’ ancestors are coming from America and Germany.

Each kind of these cockroaches has certain characters of their own.
Periplaneta americana or american cockroach has a big size of body (around 3,5 - 4 cm). Its color is dark brown with a little touch of maroon. It also has a pale brown line on its pronotum. This line makes the cockroach looks like a bold man. They like to be inside the house, especially every places which has high humidity. Such as in the bathroom or under sink. It also likes every place that usually used for food storage, such as in the kitchen as well as in your ceiling. Outside the house, this cockroach loves to hide in ditches.

This article wrote that cockroach usually walk from its nest every night to visit every kitchen which has many food opened. In fact this kind of cockroach also has great flying armies.
A female cockroach can produces up to 10-50 eggs capsule (ootheca). Every ootheca contains about 22-26 eggs. These oothecas are usually placed on the wall or under the table until it hatching.

Meanwhile, Blattela germanica or germany cockroach has a smaller size (only about 1,2 - 1,5 cm). The color is dark. It also has two dark lines on its pronotum that makes it looks like a grunge kind of hair.
Germany cockroaches love to be inside the dry places such as hotels or hospitals. They like European foods such as breads, cheese or beers.

There’re few actions to do in order to prevent those stinky bugs build their nests in our house:

Always wash all your kitchen utensils and food instruments as well. And don’t let your food left uncovered in the night

Clear every area from food crumbs

Close all holes, gaps or cracks in every places

Throw out all kinds of paper bags, cardboards or old newspapers. All of these stuffs are cockroach’s favorite hiding places

Clean up your storages annually such as food storages, vegetables, laundries and house equipments that rarely used. Because female cockroaches usually choose these as a place to put their oothecas.

Put cockroach’s trap in every places

For those houses that have been invaded by these bugs, you can call and use pest control services. They will have a right doze of poisons to kill these stinky cockroaches.

Indeed, cockroaches are not that easy to exterminate. I think I saw it one day on natgeochanel. They said that cockroaches have a good ability to survive. They even can escape and survive from radioactive because of their shrewdness and the flatness of their body shape. It makes them can hide themselves easily through neat gaps underground

My husband and I are coffee addicts. I mean the real coffee that you can only get in the coffee house (kopitiam) instead of the instant coffee.

We have several favorite places. From Starbucks to a simple coffee house like Kopitiam Jalan Hindu or Ya Kun Kaya Toast. Including: Killiney.

The composition between coffee and sugar is really nice. Not so sweet, for sure. I don’t like coffee with too much sugar on it. In fact, Killiney’s coffee beans are Columbia’s Arabica blended with Indonesian’s Robusta. Perhaps, this combination is the most important thing that makes Killeney’s coffee tastes so great.

Could This Skin Care Product Control Your Marriage?

The commercial’s way to introduce new skin care products these days are so petty, in fact they succeed to build a new jargon among young wives:
”A REAL WIFE SHOULD BE PRETTY, HAS A FLAWLESS SKIN AND WITHOUT WRINKLES AT ALL. OTHERWISE, HER HUSBAND WILL NOT LOVE HER ANYMORE.”

Do we notice the commercials of women skincare products nowadays, especially skin care products for young wives? I can tell you the first product that represents jargon like that. It’s Ponds Age Miracle. And they use many famous and pretty young women to be their brand ambassadors. Like, Becky Tumewu, and a few others.

And the plot is always the same for these brand ambassadors’ screenplay, it tells us how their husbands were very surprised to see their wives’ ‘changing’. And how that change can make them love their wives even more than usual. The conclusion is that before their wives change their looks; their husbands don’t really care about them because their skins are not flawlessly white and less pretty or even start to have wrinkles.

Like one of their commercials’ screenplay before. When a man (husband) sleeping with his back facing his wife at night. What he wants to say is that he hates to see his wife’s face. But soon after that woman use Ponds Age Miracle every day, slowly but sure, her husband begins to sleep face to face with her. And at the end, they sleep face to face and hold each other’s hand. Hmm... What if that woman doesn’t use Ponds Age Miracle, huh? I bet her husband will leave her very soon.

Then, can you imagine how pathetic this situation is for every wives’ fate, if only this Ponds Age Miracle doesn’t’ exist? That only Ponds Age Miracle that can save their marriage lives. It’s not love, nor respect, nor cares each other or even sacrifices that should come between husband and wife relationship, that can take care of your marriage life. But a skincare product only!

Can you see how petty this jargon is? That your marriage life is depending on a kind of skincare product? If you don’t use a right skin care product to repair your skin soon, your husband will walk away from you. Start by sleeping with his back facing you. At last, he’ll leave you because of your wrinkle!

I find another commercial that use this jargon too, Citra Hand & Body Lotion. And the man who playing the husband’s character says this:
”HOW PROUD I AM TO HAVE A WIFE LIKE HER”
Just because he saw his wife’s back skin which is flawlessly white because she use Citra Hand & Body Lotion every day.

Oh My God...
How petty the husband is and how pity the wife is. Because the husband proud of his wife only if she is flawlessly white all over her body. How poor you all dark skin women. Because according to this jargon, there is no way for any dark skin women can have a chance to be as pretty as light skin women. Can you imagine that?

Women these days are no longer ordinary women. Women these days are smart. So choose the right choice of any product you want to use for skincare, wisely. Don’t use those products which under estimated women’s self-regard and dignity. That, woman without flawlessly white skin could never have a happy married life, if they don’t use a certain kind of product soon. That, every husband in this world only respects their husband if their wives have flawlessly white skin without any wrinkles.

Wives love your body by taking care of it every single day. But don’t let any kind of skincare product controls your marriage life! Husbands love your wives even if they’re not as perfect as those beautiful women that you see on TV. Because they’re not real!
